About Us
The National Education Policy of 1986 led to the establishment of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) across the nation of India.Initiated by the government of Rajib Gandhi at the time, it was meant to lessen inequality and provide equitable access to education, particularly for women and communities belonging to scheduled tribes and scheduled castes. Since 1989, Assam has developed eighteen DIETs in three phases. Founded in 1996, DIET Golaghat, Dergoan is a third phase DIET. We have labored diligently, like the other DIETs, to offer teachers, instructors, teacher educators, and other education-related personnel high-quality training and support. Furthermore, we have been conducting and will continue to conduct a great deal of professional development programs, workshops, webinars, and seminars for teachers, CRCCs, and school heads in order to upgrade the Elementary Education System of Golaghat District.
Our main goal is to adapt the changes brought about by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the educational landscape through conceptual understanding, learners' holistic development, the creation of engaging and experiential learning, equity, and inclusivity in the pursuit of "an equitable and vibrant knowledge society."
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
